[Video] How EFI-Certified Farms Are Reducing Risks of Repetitive Motion Injuries

Farmworkers get backaches and pains in the shoulders, arms, and hands more than any other health problem. These are typically a result of chronic exposure to physical stresses related to working in a stooped position, carrying heavyweight in awkward positions, kneeling often, working with arms above shoulder level, moving hands and wrists repetitively, or the vibration from farm equipment.

Under socially responsible certifications, farms provide time for exercises to avoid injuries due to repetitive motions. Fieldworker Chiquis Valencia is showing us her favorite stretches, which she practices with her family at home. Click here to watch the video.
