Ethical Charter Implementation Program

Powering the Ethical Charter Implementation Program

The Ethical Charter Implementation Program (ECIP) is a collaboration among members of the fresh produce and floral industries to create alignment with the Ethical Charter on Responsible Labor Practices. EFI administers the program, which is overseen by an Advisory Group composed of leading buyers, suppliers and key stakeholders.

A main component of the program, ECIP LAB, is a customized version of EFI LAB, which allows growers to learn, assess and benchmark their management systems to the principles of the Ethical Charter.

The Ethical Charter Implementation Program was created to recognize and strengthen engagement around labor practices in the fresh produce industry, highlight existing best-practice efforts, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Through ECIP LAB and other program components, it offers an assessment tool and capacity building resources for a continuous improvement journey for social responsibility.
