Support People Behind the Food

Toledo’s daily newspaper, The Blade, Interviewed Baldemar Velasquez, president of the Farm Labor Organizing Committee, about the labor issues in agriculture and the value Equitable Food Initiative brings to growers with the EFI certification, a one-stop-shop for food safety standards, workforce development and business solutions.

Farmers can sign on to assure their workers that conditions will be fair and safe. Retailers can join the movement by selling products that earn the certification.
