Practical Worker Health & Safety Workshop Utilizing Best Practices

4-Part Series; Sessions Conducted in Spanish

Cost:

$450 for up to three participants from a non-EFI-trained single operation

$180 for EFI-certified operations (up to 6 members of an EFI Leadership Team)

Course Description:

An immersive and interactive 6-hour workshop spread across 4 separate 1.5-hour sessions, designed to expand the knowledge and skills of farm employees to prioritize worker health and safety and continuous improvement. This workshop aims to reinforce a solution-focused culture within agricultural operations, enabling participants to identify and address Worker Health and Safety problems effectively.

Throughout the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to learn from agricultural leaders who have successfully solved Worker Health and Safety challenges in their own operations. These experts will share their experiences, insights, and best practices, providing valuable real-world examples that participants can apply to their own work environments.

Who Should Attend:

Spanish-speaking frontline worker leaders and management representatives interested in or focused on worker health and safety.

Format: 

Spanning four days, participants will receive 6 hours of live course instruction. Participants will receive practice exercises to complete between sessions and will receive a certificate upon completion of all sessions and the post-assessment.

  • Basic Health & Safety Standards: Gain a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental health and safety standards that apply to the agricultural industry. Learn how to ensure compliance and create a safe working environment for all employees
  • Learning from Agricultural Leaders: Hear firsthand accounts from experienced professionals who have successfully solved Worker Health and Safety problems in their operations. Discover innovative approaches, strategies, and practical solutions that have proven effective in real-world scenarios.
  • Sharing Best Practices: Engage in collaborative discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions with fellow participants. Share your own experiences, challenges, and best practices related to Worker Health and Safety. Learn from the collective wisdom of the group and gain new insights and perspectives.
  • Identifying Problems in Participants’ Operations: Through interactive exercises and group activities, participants will have the opportunity to identify and analyze Worker Health and Safety problems specific to their own operations. Gain a deeper understanding of the root causes of these issues and explore potential solutions.
  • Learning Next Steps to Solve Issues: Develop problem-solving skills and learn how to think through Worker Health and Safety problems systematically. Discover effective methods for gathering information, conducting research, and determining the appropriate channels and resources to address these issues.
Classroom Policies:
  • All sessions will be conducted in Spanish.
  • No cell phones due to the interactive nature of the course.
  • Sessions will not be recorded. 
  • Participants need to attend all sessions and practice exercises to receive a completion certificate.
