Beginning in 2024, EFI is pleased to present a range of learning and training opportunities for individuals and farming operations to better understand and apply key social responsibility concepts.
Webinars, seminars and courses are designed to align to the Ethical Charter on Responsible Labor Practices and provide introductory knowledge and skills to pursue EFI Certification. Seminars are offered as introductions to topics and workshops and courses dive deeper to build applicable knowledge and skills for managers, supervisors and workers.
Registering multiple attendees from a single farming operation creates shared knowledge to begin to implement key social responsibility initiatives.
Training topics will include:
- improving communication and worker protections
- creating a culture and systems to prevent harassment and discrimination across the operation
- developing management systems that support social responsibility
- introducing and embracing continuous improvement
- sustainability and solving for retailer requirements
- worker health and safety

May 22 – Collaborative Strategies for Occupational Health and Safety
In this session, we will evaluate best practices based on OSHA guidelines that focus on preventing work-related injuries and illnesses. Additionally, we will explore strategies for safeguarding and promoting workers’ health.

June 26 – Fostering Respectful and Inclusive Workplaces
Learn about the key principles that help foster a dignified work environment free from abuse, harassment and discrimination. We will explore and discuss terms such as justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.

EFI Leadership Team Training for EFI Certification
Farming operations seeking to earn EFI Certification will need to form and train an EFI Leadership Team. Leadership Team training is available in-person, hybrid or remote. Learn more about creating and training an EFI Leadership Team as part of the EFI Certification process.
